Overview Of The Key Main Pages Of The Intentional Practitioner Workbook

Mission and Vision Statements

The mission and vision sections allow your space to write your professional mission and vision statements along with your strengths and values as a practitioner.  The purpose of this exercise for specifically for your benefit to create a focused and purposeful practice.

Self Care

The self care section allows practitioners to check off and add self-care strategies that are currently in use as well as future self-care strategies they’d like to participate in.  It is with intent that this page be referenced throughout the year as a reminder of chosen self-care strategies.  This section also allows users to create your word, phrase or intention of the year along with exercise, sleep, and water intake goals.

Professional Goals

The professional goals pages provide a way for you to record your yearly professional goals as well as three action steps needed to reach each goal. Whether participating in a self-study or building confidence in an intervention, your professional goals help you to keep focused on your aspirations while reflecting on your goals through the year as you progress.  With start and end dates indicated, these planning pages help therapy professionals to keep track of their professional goals and progress towards each goals.

Weekly Planning

The weekly planning pages offer a way for you to record your top objectives, your weekly intention, and your goals for the week.  Jot down your weekly schedule for appointments and meetings as well as weekly highlights and areas for growth in your practice.  These pages help you to stay focused about your professional goals from week to week as well as quickly recording parts of your work week that went well and professional areas of growth to refer back to as needed.  52 pages total, one for each week of the year.

Client treatment planning log of the Intentional Practitioner workbook

Client Logs and Treatment Planning

The client logs create a way for you to confidentially jot down client goals as well as strengths, challenges and the reason for referral.  When I created this section, my intention was not to create additional work for you, but to instead to quickly jot down short, quick goals to help remind you of client goals when away from the office.  Short and simple, not the entire goal.

On the opposing page, the treatment planning pages offer space for you to record intervention ideas, illustrate adaptive solutions, and brainstorm ideas.  This workbook does not offer intervention and treatment strategies rather provides space for practitioners to do so.

The workbook includes 100 pages each of the client logs and treatment planning pages.  These pages face each other, creating an optimal treatment planning space.

* It’s important to note, do not write any identifying client information to maintain confidentiality throughout the workbook.

Memorable moments logs in the Intentional practitioner workbook

Memorable Moments

All too often, rehabilitation professionals experience burnout.  With The Intentional Practitioner workbook, one of the goals is to create a reflective practice through its memorable moments pages.  The Memorable Moments pages offers a way for practitioners to not only record moments that brought them joy, but also provides a way for practitioners to review these moments after a difficult work day to remind them of their impact as a therapist or therapy assistant.
